Since 1951, the organization has protected more than 119 million acres of land and 5,000 miles of rivers worldwide, and established chapters in 30 countries. The Nature Conservancy’s Michigan chapter is using this grant to initiate and develop a regional program to test, demonstrate, and implement climate change adaptation strategies throughout the Great Lakes Basin.
