The coalition leader unites community, religious, labor, and environmental-justice organizations in efforts to improve the air quality of predominantly low-income neighborhoods adjacent to the Port of Seattle. Assisted by this two-year grant, the organization is partnering with the University of Washington Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences to develop a strategic plan for clean, safe trucking.
